Allegra strives to provide a well-rounded music education experience that is customized to each student’s needs, tastes, and development.

MUSIC INSTRUCTION INFO

Allegra offers beginner to advanced instruction in guitar, keyboard, and bass.

Vocal instruction is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Through our extensive network of music professionals, Allegra can connect you with qualified instructors in other instruments such as drums, violin, etc.

Allegra also offers instruction in music recording principles and techniques, including hands-on experience with industry standard audio and MIDI recording programs.

SPECIAL OPPORTUNITES

In addition to instruction, Allegra offers unique artist development opportunities for its music instruction clients:

• Public performance opportunities are available through Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Limerick, PA. Performing in public helps a musician prepare for the real-life stresses and rewards that simply cannot be experienced through studio lessons alone.

• Recording studio experience: During the year-end holiday season, Allegra students are invited to produce an audio recording, to be made into a CD. This is a process which occurs over the course of several music lesson sessions. The students get a taste of the challenges of recording, and the CDs make great gifts for friends and family members during the holidays.

• “Studio Magic” recording packages: For a set package fee of $100, a student can record a single performance track (vocal or instrument) of one song with an existing background track. This will be mixed, mastered, and burned to a CD, which will be printed and packaged. Discounts for multiple song recording packages are available. Many of our students find the “Studio Magic” package to be an achievable goal they can work toward and save for, and keep coming back, looking forward to the recording sessions as creatively stimulating milestones in their lives.

• We are also planning to feature special events and educational programs, such as songwriting classes, music business workshops, and performance clinics featuring well-known music professionals.

A NOTE TO PARENTS

We conduct lessons in small teaching studios, and we typically close the doors, both for sound control and for privacy. If you are a parent, we understand your concerns about your son or daughter spending time alone with an adult you do not know very well. Our comfortable lounge area is situated directly adjacent to the teaching studios; you are welcome to wait there for your child to complete his or her lesson. We do not encourage parents’ being in the teaching studio during the lesson (simply because it tends to be distracting and less productive for student and teacher), but we certainly will allow it if you deem it necessary.
